FERRAN IS THE FIRST 2000s-BORN LALIGA PLAYER
Ferran gets his debut for the Valencia first team when he came off the bench against Eibar, becoming the player born this century to play in LaLiga.
FERRAN SIGNS WITH VALENCIA FIRST TEAM
Ferran’s summer success gave him plenty of exposure, and shortly after he was promoted to Valencia’s first team, and signed a contract that would keep him with the club until June 30, 2020.
HIS FIRST WORLD CUP
Ferran’s trip to India for the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup ended in another showdown with fierce rivals, England. This time, the Brits were superior, and they won the game 5-2.
SPAIN WINS THE U17 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Ferran was crowned a European Champion after beating England on penalties. It was an incredible team effort that saw the team come back from behind twice to lift the trophy.
VALENCIA CF B DEBUT
Former Valencia CF B team head coach Curro Torres gave Ferran his debut when he was an U16 player on 15th October 2016. He came on against Real Mallorca to replace Gregori after 75 minutes.
THE SPANISH CALLUP
Monday 19th September 2016 will be a date that stays with Ferran for the rest of his life. Spain’s U17 coach, Santiago Denia Sánchez’s debuted Ferran against Northern Ireland in an emphatic 4-0 win. Ferran finished the game with two assists.
FERRAN TRANSITIONS INTO 11-A-SIDE
Ferran is progressing well through the VCF Academy. He joins the Alevin squad, and makes the transition to 11-a-side. Nobody had any doubts about his football skills, and ever since then, he has steadily progressed through the VCF youth ranks.
FERRAN JOINS VALENCIA CF PRE-BENJAMÍN
At the age of seven, Ferran starts his first season with the Valencia CF Academy in the Pre-Benjamín squad, under the watchful eyes of 8-a-side football coordinators, Alfredo Pérez and his assistant Miguel Tendillo.
FERRAN’S TALENT GETS NOTICED
Ferran was just playing futsal at his school, EPLA, with his friends, when after the game, he was invited to join Valencia CF Academy for a trial game.
A STAR IS BORN
Ferran Torres was born on a leap year on 29th February 2000 in Foios, a small town on the outskirts of Valencia. Ever since he can remember, he was kicking a football around at any opportunity.
